Standard Construction Company, Inc., A CRH Company is a hot mix asphalt paving contractor and supplier serving the Memphis, Tennessee metropolitan area since 1957.

We are an award-winning, locally-owned company that handles asphalt projects for federal, state and local governments, and the private sector. We currently operate four hot mix plants and eight gravel pits between Southwest Tennessee and North Mississippi.

We are licensed and insured for work in Tennessee (monetary limit is "Unlimited") and Mississippi. Bonding is available for all types of asphalt work through the Travelers Insurance.

 
 

Our Work

From the roads you drive on to the parks you play in, you can count on the team at Standard Construction to deliver rock-solid products and services.

By gearing some crews for heavy and highway work, and some crews for the private market, Standard is able to serve all types of highway, asphalt paving and construction projects in a timely, resourceful, and responsive manner. Typical jobs consist of street, road, or interstate overlays; new road construction, or road widening projects, and airport runways.

Standard Construction also lays asphalt for parking lots, tennis courts, running tracks, golf cart paths, and walking trails for private owners and developers. The sand and gravel reserves at our Byhalia location offer a range of DOT-approved products such as washed aggregates, fill sand, mason sand, road gravel, and top dressing sand.
